Rick Zamora wins 2008 Hispanic Businessman Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Cleveland, OH – October 25, 2008 – Rick Zamora, President and CEO of Global Point Technologies, Inc., won the 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year – Businessman award given by the Hispanic Business Association and Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for Ohio.

For 26 years the Hispanic Business Association and Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for Ohio has been honoring enterprising people whose businesses have made significant differences in the community, and in our lives.  The awards are a symbol of achievement for those innovative entrepreneurs who provide inspiration, exemplify excellence and carry out their unique vision.  Through hard work, determination, creativity and resourcefulness, they have established new ventures or lead existing ones into renewed growth.

In the 21st century, as business becomes more global and more competitive, our economy will rely more and more on the entrepreneurial philosophy and on entrepreneurial practices.  It’s important that the HBA / HCCO support, encourage and help entrepreneurial enterprises.  It’s essential that our business and community environment fosters entrepreneurial activity, and recognizes it for the vital process it is.

Entrepreneurs are not just dreamers of dreams, they’re doers.  They learn, adapt and envision the road not taken – accepting failures as learning posts along the way to success.  They don’t necessarily have all the answers, but they’re not afraid to ask questions, or to say “what if”?  Hispanic entrepreneurs are a growing force in the U.S. economy
