Risk Assessment

RISK ASSESSMENT

Our Risk Assessment is designed to inform the Data Center Manager of potential risks found in the data center. We will provide a report on our findings, as well as provide steps you can take to avoid these risks.

FIRE STOPPING

Fire Stopping is the installation of qualified firestop materials in holes made through walls or ceilings for the penetration of pipes, cables or other construction/building, service/utility items. Fire stopping will serve as containment of fire or smoke through rated assemblies by the application of tested fire rated material. In the event of a disaster, this practice buys you time, because fire and smoke typically spread through openings in floors, walls and ceilings. It also saves lives, protects critical systems and investments and serves as a building liability reinforcement.

SUB-FLOOR INSPECTION

We provide under floor inspections to notify Data Center Managers of any leaks, improperly placed wires, or other irregularities found under the raised floor. We will provide a report on our findings, as well as solutions to these problems.

POST-CONSTRUCTION CLEANING

If your data center has recently undergone expansion, or if you have just built a new data center, then a complete post-construction cleaning will need to be performed prior to any equipment being powered up. A complete data center cleaning of the sub-floor surface, top of the raised floor, and any equipment will be provided to remove all construction dust and debris. Always make sure that you are using a qualified computer room cleaning company that specializes in data center cleaning.

AIR TEST AND CERTIFICATION

Our air test for dust and metallic particles develops a service history which may be useful for internal and/or insurance audits.

OTHER SERVICES

Plenum Control can also handle any structured cabling needs, from new installations to abandoned cable removal and cable grooming.
